Torture in Tourism

Friends and Countrymen! Beware of deceptive holiday offers - especially from the Country Club group. Our harrowing, awkward experience with The Country Clube de
Goa goes like this. After making us cough up Rs 9472 for three complete days and nights-( from 23rd jan 2010 noon to 26th Jan 2010 noon) the management (Mr Biswas the Manager and Mr Manish Asst Manager)- on 25th Jan 2010 afternoon, in our absence, decided unilaterally to evict us in order to accommodate (going out of the way and unlawfully) a score of "white skins". They shabbily bundled our belongings and thrown them unattended in the verandah of the sub standard Sun CityResort , Baga six kms away and informed us over the phone (to Panjim) after implementing the hasty, nasty decision. We had faced material loss(managed to lose an expensive pair of shoes- during transport) boarding comfort loss- gave a dingy dusty room as substitute - loss of mental peace and 25th jan 2010 dinner. Three more families with children had to undergo the same fate (one with a sick child). The staff were rude, arrogant and insensitive to our appeals for better accommodation and treatment. Adding insult to injury,The Country Club high command Hyderabad (to whom we had conveyed our hurt feeling from Bangalore through internet) shut off their web site under the pretext of maintenance to avoid answerability They also cut off their contact telephone no 919765508148 to evade responsibiliy, discouraging any future communication.
Friends! The take home message is - do not fall a prey to these boosted, boastful, make believe ads and avoid humilitation.
Country Club gets the credit in tearing our peace of mind to pieces. It has rubbed us on the wrong side when we sought for relaxation in their premises. Now you decide.
